We use recycled nylon yarn made from fishing nets and carpets for floor mats and aim for mono-material in headlining – already in use today in our BMW i3 and BMW iX models.

From the very start, we consider the entire product life cycle. Our products made from recycled nylon yarn fit our needs with a wonderful range of colours, a flawless look and outstanding quality.
It’s easy to design with and has a lower environmental footprint compared to petroleum-based nylon. The recycled fabric produces 90% less CO2.
PIONEER RECYCLING
It is possible to produce nylon yarn 100% regenerated from nylon waste, which can be regenerated an infinite number of times without any loss in quality.
This process is about thinking ahead, protecting the oceans and closing the cycle.
