Recyclates: Efficient Recycling with secondary materials

We close material cycles. How? Due to the increasing use of recyclates. What are recyclates? Noun: ‘something that has been recycled. A product of a recycling process’. Materials obtained from old parts, a real ‘value’ fabric. With a life cycle behind it. Used one more time. When we turn old into new. We protect limited raw material resources, save energy and work cost-effectively. In our cars today, we use up to 20% recycled plastic parts. And the trend is rising. By 2030, this figure should be over 40%.
Production, recyclates, recycling, station

The BMW 7 Series contains 120 recycled components. And aluminium is also recyclable. Our recyclate quota here is up to 50%. At the Dingolfing press plant, for example, the CO2 saving amounts to 120 tons of CO2 per year by recycling aluminium. We have learned the higher the input of renewable resources, the higher the benefit of the product and the higher the resource efficiency.
