BMW Group is on a path to achieving holistic sustainability. In the process, we have to rethink everything we do – because the future demands circularity. We have to plan products, from the design and entire production process right through to the end of their life cycle and their subsequent recycling, with a focus on a continuous circular economy, and thereby reduce, recycle and reuse resources wherever possible.
This transformation means new organisation, new learning, new behaviour. This is what ‘RE:’ stands for. It symbolises the rethinking and reassessing involved in this process. RE: also stands for the prompting of dialogue and exchange in the RE:BMW CIRCULAR LAB. RE: supplies answers to new challenges in a new age.
The RE: BMW CIRCULAR LAB accompanies BMW Group in this transformation process. As a hybrid communication and experience platform, it is a central element of communication in all topics relating to the circular economy.
It gives an authentic insight into the holistic approach of the company and is a place for experimentation and testing. It gives insight into topics that BMW Group is working on in order to achieve circularity and tells interesting stories concerning all brands of BMW Group based on the four principles RE:THINK, RE:DUCE, RE:USE and RE:CYCLE.
In workshops, visitors discover new perspectives and find solutions together. The focus is always on the CIRCULAR HEROES. They offer users the chance to become familiar with the principles of circular design in a playful, artistic and knowledge-based manner. In conversations with experts, in networks and collaborations, new paths are taken. Because it is only together that a circular economy can be achieved; it is only together that we can shape a sustainable future.
