The human factor
The BMW iX has been designed around the human factor. Its interior is far more than simply the inside of a car – it is a mobile space. It conveys a feeling of safety and confidence, and achieves a new connection between the passengers and the car.
Generous space, a top-class mix of materials, newly-developed seats and an extraordinarily large panoramic glass roof make for a luxurious lounge atmosphere in all five seats inside the BMW iX. The completely new architecture in the interior of the BMW iX allows a clear and uncomplicated functionality, which is totally geared to the needs and emotions of the driver and his passengers.
Sights set on the future
Sheer driving pleasure is in the genes of the BMW iX. The major focus of the interior is on the driver. The car benefits from its spacious, relaxing ambience and from new, fully-digital displays and smart controls. Many elements are being seen for the first time in a BMW, like the hexagonal steering wheel and the BMW Curved display, which is mounted on an invisible support, creating the illusion that it is freestanding in the cockpit. The BMW Curved Display forms part of the next-generation BMW Operating System and clearly advertises the futuristic form of driving pleasure on offer.
The displays and controls are all stripped down to the essentials, further reinforcing the impression of an uncluttered cabin offering a place of relaxation. The technology of the BMW iX is used intelligently and only becomes visible when it is needed. This makes it intuitive to use rather than seeming overly complex.
