Their hearts beat faster. Fear begins to prickle through their veins. It’s now or never. Their only chance. Joy and Forever know their decision is irreversible. But their only thought is escape. The dimly lit dance club in the industrial district below the Hollywood Hills is a gilded cage for them. For him as a dancer. For her as a janitor. Both stranded in the dark shadows.
They can be together. But the couple have no hope of freedom without their passports, taken from them and locked away in the safe by their unscrupulous boss. Until the moment when Forever happens to see the code being entered. When the opportunity comes up, it has to be grabbed quickly. It’s now or never.
They sneak into the office, open the safe and throw all the contents into their backpack. Luck is on their side this time – or so they think. But among the items they grabbed, including some car keys, is an innocuous-looking piece of metal with some engravings on it. What they don’t even begin to suspect is that this is a cursed spark plug that has a dark power, able to control any kind of engine. And so much more. Blissfully unaware and fueled by adrenaline, they flee the building, hiding in a nearby garage. Their last hope: Joy tries the car keys.
And sure enough: right behind them, a car opens, flashing – a BMW i4. There was no BMW logo on any of the keys. But Joy doesn’t give it a second thought. Still completely exhilarated, they roar off into the night. However, their getaway car harbors a secret. A secret that is about to be revealed to them – as a dark danger suddenly springs to life in the nearby junkyard, awakened by the spark plug’s attraction…
