Social Netiquette for the BMW channels

0 min reading time

Welcome to the BMW community for enthusiasts, fans and drivers. We really care about you and your opinion. Nevertheless, we want to share some rules which apply when you participate on our social media accounts.

We are a community with millions of fans around the world. So please keep in mind that the person commenting before or after you may not share the same cultural or informational background.

Basically we want you to be kind, to be respectful, and to share the joy BMW stands for.

Comments and messages that both you and we are happy to read should be:

  • Thoughtful, constructive, and inspiring
  • Open and friendly
  • Tolerant
  • Respectful towards others with differing opinions
  • Expressing joy and enthusiasm about automotive and driving culture

Comments, posts and messages that neither you nor we like to read should be:

  • Offensive or harmful, so users might feel unsafe
  • Insulting or abusive, or include racism, sexism, or religious discrimination
  • Gossip or rumours
  • Invading privacy, and/or revealing personal information without a genuine public interest
  • Spam or other irrelevant material
  • Violating copyright or personality law, or any other laws
  • Sharing confidential or internal BMW company information

Should we find such entries, we reserve the right to hide or delete them in the interest of all users.

Please understand that we cannot answer any price requests, as every market has different prices and domestic fees and taxes that may affect the final buying price of a BMW.
